As a volunteer at ChildServ, you can help an at-risk child and their family build, achieve and sustain a better life.
ChildServ's Home Instruction Program for Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) is in need of bilingual Spanish/English volunteers to help staff care for children whose parents attend monthly parenting workshops. Approximately 30 children, aged 3 to 5, attend the meetings. Volunteers will help organize and direct activities with the children, such as reading stories and arts and crafts. The meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 5pm to 7pm at 4950 W. Thomas in Chicago. Please contact Jennifer Collins, Volunteer Coordinator at 773-867-7362 for more information.
Here are other current opportunities with ChildServ to make a difference in a child's life throughout the year:
Since ChildServ's inception in 1894, volunteers have been a critical part of our work. We value our volunteers who are providing their time, talents, and energy. More are needed.
Through 24 programs based in 17 locations we offer services that educate, intervene and advocate to position approximately 3,500 children and their families toward a positive lifestyle.
